I've been in Portland, Oregon since 1973. I worked for Oregon Dept. of Environmental Quality, Oregon Public Broadcasting, and Portland State University and then some. I raised my three sons alone for the last 18 years and then, finally, after 40 years of working and kids grown and gone I sold my large older home, bought a condo and remarried. I retired a few years ago and find it life changing - I love it every single day. I've returned to Palo Alto often to visit my parents who lived in the house I grew up in until last year when my mom passed away. Wendy Erd remains my very best friend to this day.
